🎙️ What are the key things you focus on when creating animations for games?

I focus on creating animations that feel natural, smooth, and enjoyable for players. I pay attention to timing, movement, and the little details that make characters and game elements feel alive.

I also make sure every animation fits the game's art style and performs well in the game. For me, animation is not just about movement. It’s about making the game feel more engaging and bringing the overall experience to life.

🎙️ How do you solve technical challenges while working on a game?

I first understand the technical requirements and plan the animation approach before starting.

For example, some games have progression animations like liquid filling, sheep fur growth, or coin boxes that increase through 12–15 stages.

Using a separate image sequence for every stage can increase the game file size. To avoid this, I plan the animation carefully, discuss the requirements with designers and developers, and choose the best approach to optimize the assets and animation.

I also create the required assets myself when needed, ensuring good visual quality and game performance.

🎙️ What inspires your creative ideas when designing game characters or assets?

I get my creative inspiration from playing different games, watching movies, exploring concept art, and observing things in the real world.

I enjoy studying how different artists design characters, environments, and assets, especially how they use colors, shapes, details, and visual styles to make their work stand out. Sometimes, even small things in everyday life, like the design of an object, the look of a place, or the movement of a person, can give me new ideas.

I also like exploring different art styles and experimenting with new concepts to improve my creativity. When designing a character or asset, I first try to understand the game’s theme, story, and overall visual style.

Based on that, I think about how to make the design unique, visually appealing, and suitable for the game. I believe that good design is not just about making something look beautiful. It should also communicate the right feeling and fit naturally into the game world. My goal is to create characters and assets that look interesting, support the game's atmosphere, and make the overall player experience more enjoyable.

🎙️ What recent project have you worked on, and what was your role in it?

I have contributed to the production of 40+ games during my career, including recent slot game projects such as 3 Little Sheep, 888 Leagues Under the Sea, and Festival del Mariachi, as well as Path of the Gods: Poseidon (upcoming release).

My responsibilities include creating and optimizing game assets, developing Spine 2D animations and visual effects, and preparing assets for seamless game integration. I also work on progression animations, special effects, and UI animations, ensuring visual quality and technical performance.

I collaborate closely with designers and developers to solve technical challenges, streamline production workflows, and deliver polished, game-ready assets. My focus is on bridging the gap between creative design and technical implementation to create visually engaging games that run smoothly.

🎙️ How do you use AI tools in your creative work?

I use AI tools like PromeAI, KlinkAI, ChatGPT, Midjourney, and Leonardo AI to explore creative ideas, generate visual references, and experiment with different art styles.

I also use tools like Adobe Firefly for image generation and editing, and Runway AI for creating and experimenting with videos.

These tools help me visualize concepts quickly, explore different design possibilities, and speed up the creative process. I see AI as a supportive tool that helps me work more efficiently and improve productivity.

However, I always use my own creativity and artistic judgment to refine the results, maintain visual quality, and make sure the final output matches the project’s requirements.
